                  流體動壓潤滑,就是依靠被潤滑的一對固體摩擦面間的相對運動,使介于固體摩擦面間的流體潤滑膜內產生壓力,以承受外載荷而免除固體相互接觸,從而起到減少摩擦阻力和保護固體摩擦表面的作用。 此外,流體動力潤滑理論中還有其它的一些方程,如:流動的連續性方程、潤滑劑的狀態方程(粘度和密度方程)、表面的彈性方程、以及能量方程等。當然應用最廣的還是雷諾方程及其在各種具體條件下的變形形式,以及它們的求解。由于這些理論的建立使得滑動軸承的研究取得了很多成果,促進了其在實際中的應用。
